This looks really cool but with how sensitive your truck is, you kinda need more time to put out fires. Overall, quick, simple, fun and has a lot of potential.

I got around to playing it and I genuinely had a great time! The developer has a really good eye for level design. It's so dastardly when there's a fire on the outskirts and you go off road but it's tricky to get back on and that's a penalty for hurrying and not taking the time to position yourself properly. And the barriers in the middle of town with the dogs and cats are really annoying! But in a good way, it makes the game more challenging and engaging. The dev also fine-tuned the controls incredibly well; it feels so so good to move around as well as to fire the hose. all of which feels incredibly accurate to what controlling an actual toy firetruck is like. The screenshot feature built-in is a really nice feature too. It's a very simple game, but it's got a lot of polish both in terms of the assets and under the hood in terms of the mechanics and the design layout for the town that keeps it engaging. I really appreciate the dog bark noises when the timer is down to 5 seconds or less, it's so adorable! Looking forward to more from ChocoMint Softworks!

Thank you so much for the comment!

Very polished, and really showcases the assets well. Really happy with the PS2 vibes it ended up with, and all the cute little details. Good job, proud of you <3

I wish there was a Mac version 😞

I wanted to release one but my 2011 macbook is apparently too old to run things. I assume because the GPU in it doesn’t support metal, and i’m running catalina unofficially on it. :(

I managed to get a friend to test a macOS build for me. Turns out, it’s a bit fiddly to get running thanks to how macOS works these days, but it should work fine apart from that.

really cool and underrated
